Children Change Colombia

Defending the rights of children at risk in Colombia

We are the largest UK charity working exclusively in Colombia. Founded in 1991, this year we are celebrating 30 years of working with children and their families to challenge poverty, inequality, discrimination and violence. Despite a growing economy and a peace deal with the country's largest guerrilla group, millions of Colombian children still face poverty, violence and exclusion from the opportunities presented by a changing society.

So whether they are threatened by forced displacement, sexual exploitation or recruitment into armed groups, whether denied education, a loving family or a place to play, we work to ensure that every child can claim their right to a safe and happy childhood and a fulfilling future. We believe that, with an understanding of their rights and the confidence to assert them, children can transform their own lives, their communities and Colombia itself.

Over a year, just £3 a month could help an ex child soldier get his/her life back on track by paying for professional support for their foster family.

Children and young people in Colombia need your help to build the peaceful, safe and fulfilling future that is their right to enjoy. Please support them today!
